PHITO empowers Small and Medium-sized Farmers (SMFs) with a farmer-centered app, paving the way for a sustainable future in agriculture. While large producers embrace innovative digital technologies, SMFs often lack access to such innovations. Our mission is to provide accessible, user-friendly digital tools, addressing SMFs’ challenges worldwide in adopting digital innovations.
Our app uses open geo-databases and seamlessly integrates them into local food systems.
It translates existing spatial information into concrete, data-driven advice enabling SMFs to adopt sustainable and climate-smart farming practices, while boosting their competitiveness.
Through its networking feature the app facilitates networking and collaboration among farmers, consumers, and providers of agricultural goods and services, supporting local agricultural knowledge and innovation systems.
Aligned with the European “Farm to Fork” strategy, PHITO goes beyond SMFs by also engaging other crucial stakeholders contributing to an inclusive and environmentally conscious agricultural sector.
